Under the sea

Lately I have been challenging myself with my fashion. I decided to take on the challenge by Pretty Shiny Sparkly's Bloggers  to style an outfit based on coral and mint. I don’t know why but those colors remind me of The Little Mermaid and I can see Sebastian singing “under the sea”. Weird I know. Coral is the new black, instead of pairing anything with black, think coral instead.

It is so hot in good ole Louisiana and I wish I was under the sea right about now. It’s nearly 94 degrees. I have been wearing a lot of racer back and silk shirts, at least when the breeze blows it won’t have to travel through a lot of material. What have you being wearing a lot of this summer?

The jeans are the City fit from J.Crew. They have a relaxed feel and are skinny fit, also they don’t stick to your body during the heat. These were a steal for $13 last summer. They had them on sale on the website at the end of the summer. I usually shop at J.Crew when they have mad clearance sales going on. These jeans were initially $108.

I love the detailing on the earring and it is so light on the ears. I chose to use my earring to display the mint color. I got the earring in Nigeria. It would look really nice with a simple lace black dress.

FYI: Life is too short, so take time to smell the magnolia or go on an adventure.
